Four Full Days

We had a busy and full 4 days of school! We have had a wonderful couple of weeks but your kindergartner probably still needs some extra hugs, kisses and sleep at the beginning of the school year to help with the many transitions they are facing.

It has been a blessing to begin to get to know your child over the last several days. I am looking forward to a wonderful year working together with you to help your child learn and grow over the next many months. Please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail, give me a call or catch me before or after school if you have any questions, comments or stories to share!

Our first field trip is fast approaching. On October 2 we will visit Sietsema Orchards in Ada. We are looking for 4 parent volunteers that would like to come along with us. We will leave on the bus around 8:30 and should return to the school around 11am. Please e-mail me if you are interested in attending.

Important Dates:

October 2 – Field Trip to Sietsema Orchards

October 10 – Grandfriends’ Day

October 17 – Foot Frolic Frenzy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
9-4-14 (4)This week we continued to review letter sounds through many different activities. We even created the letters using our bodies and turned the pictures into our own ABC book.
In Math we are working on counting 1 – 10 as well as quickly recognizing groups of objects from 1 -5.
We have begun to study our body’s five senses and how they help us observe and interact with all of God’s creation.
This week we continued the story of creation and heard about how sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s choices.
